BaBee Shower

About 6 months ago I did a little Owl Shower which I was super excited about. Then I got another challenge... a Bee Shower. So I talked about it for a month solid and drove everyone crazy. Who knew I have this strange fetish with party planning? I don't throw parties, I'm kind of a party pooper but someone (Wendy) told me about the Hostess with the Mostess blog and I have been obsessed ever since. Never mind that the parties they show cost more than I would spend on groceries for 2-3 months, I want to be that party planner. So with a little help from family and my frugality I have been able to pull off some sweet baby showers, if I do say so myself.

I made little bees out of easter eggs, yarn and a whole lot of hot glue. The banner came from some Hostess with the Mostess inspiration. The little desserts were shortbread tarts filled with raspberry lemon mousse, chocolate tarts with Oreo mousse and shortbread with chocolate mousse. My mom was the major pastry chef and I couldn't have done it without her. The party favor (not pictured) was bags caramel covered popcorn drizzled in white and milk chocolate, yum. I am so behind on blogging that cute little Elsie Kay is now here with the family!

P.S. Stay tuned, in February there will be a very bright and colorful baby shower, so excited!
